Future Northern Ireland sports stars are set to benefit from an exciting new partnership that will provide them with expenses paid warm weather training in top class facilities in sunny Gibraltar.

The NI connection is Lady Mary Peters, pentathlon gold medallist at the Munich 1972 Olympics and now patron of the newly formed Gibraltar Institute of Sport, run by former UK 400m champion Joslyn Hoyte-Smith, a 4x400m relay bronze medallist under Lady Mary’s GB team management at the 1980 Moscow Games.
